Gong baths
A gong bath is a form of effortless meditation in which waves of sound wash over and through you, leaving your whole being refreshed and revitalised. (No water is involved!) The effect is deeply relaxing for most people, at the same time the experience of inner journeying can be intense and profoundly transformative.

Private 1:1 and 2:1 sound baths |
Private sessions are held at our home in Langley Park and are limited to no more than two people at a time. The focus of these sessions is on deep relaxation. During the session I play two large Paiste gongs, a dozen or so Himalayan singing bowls and other instruments, including chimes and sometimes a tongue drum or a harmonium. At the end of the sound bath you are invited to try the instruments for yourself, if you wish. Pillows and blankets are provided (though you're welcome to bring extra to make sure you feel really cosy) along with a double, padded futon for you to lie on. If lying down is difficult it's possible to sit in a chair instead.
A session lasts for at least an hour and costs £30 for one or £40 for a couple. For the payment, cash on the day is preferred, otherwise PayPal or bank transfer.

Chanting group for women
Our next get-together is on SUNDAY 12th APRIL from 10:30 to 12:00 at the Miners' Institute hall, Church Street, Langley Park, Durham DH7 9TZ.
We meet regularly on either the first or second Sunday of each month, starting at 10:30. Check here for dates. All very welcome! No need to book in advance, pay on the door, £10 (concessionary rate available).
This is a monthly group for women. We call ourselves Witton Women after the village of Witton Gilbert, our chanting home for fourteen years, up until the end of 2024. We share chants and mantra from many different cultures and traditions - no musical or singing expertise is needed - it's joyful, uplifting, warm-hearted and friendly. In the words of Stephen Sondheim: "If I cannot fly, let me sing!"
